Background of MAF.

Mukhtar is founder of MAF. He believes that, there are solutions for every problem. Working together to assist and help people stand on their feet, so that they can get their own solution, would be the best way to approach human crises. MAF mission is to help and create long-lasting solution for the vicious circle and the situation that keep people trapped in poverty from one generation to the next. MAF focuses on all aspects of social and economic revitalization to promote the welfare of the Somalia especially vulnerable groups, indigenous and ethnic communities affected by natural and manmade calamities.

It is privileged to mention that MAF executed a number of activities aimed at the rebuilding, advocating and creating income opportunity source to the vulnerable group especially women Our performance in regard to projects implementation, accountability and reporting stems has been appraised and evaluation remarks were produced accordingly in view of the outcome of these assessments. In addition to that MAF have succeeded to establish functional cooperation within the region context.

Youth Empowerment, Women Empowerment, Food Security and Livelihoods, Income Generation, Health, Nutrition, WASH, education, Technical Education and Vocational Training (TEVT), Protection, Shelter, Resettlements of the IDPs, Capacity Building etc.

MAF has well defined Organization goals that are Simple and achievable. The implementation strategies set forth in it is plan of operations are designed to suit the current situation of the region. It also observes the necessity to utilize community participation through the reactivation socio economic mechanism to the vulnerable community and introduce them ownership feeling(s).

Response

In response to the recent floods in Afgoye district, a coordinated effort has been launched to provide essential food aid to 200 affected households. Each family will receive a carefully prepared relief package containing staple foods, including rice, flour, beans, cooking oil, and other necessary supplies to help them meet their nutritional needs during this difficult time. This humanitarian support aims to alleviate immediate hunger, enhance food security, and contribute to the overall recovery of the flood-impacted community, offering them hope and sustenance as they rebuild their lives.
